2 pedestrians taken to hospital after being hit by car in Mansfield

Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a motor vehicle in Mansfield on Friday afternoon.

The crash was reported on Westwood Road in the area of South Eagleville Road around 3:15 p.m.

Police said the two pedestrians involved in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries. The two people were rushed to an area hospital, police said.

The crash closed the intersection, according to police.

Westwood Road reopened around 4 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
