Person jumped from apartment building during fire in New Britain

 

A person jumped from the second floor of an apartment building after a fire broke out on Friday night.

Crews are battling a 2-alarm fire that started in the basement of an apartment building on Farmington Ave.

The person who jumped from the second floor was brought to the hospital, there is no word on their injuries at this point.

No other injuries were reported.

The fire was called in at about 10:16 p.m. The building houses 10 -12 apartments

Crews are still working to determine what caused the fire.
