A task force made up of detectives and officers from across southeastern Connecticut arrested two men in connection with ongoing heroin investigations.
Shakim Outler, 39, and 35-year-old Rasheem Singleton, both of New London, face drug charges.
Detectives said an investigation into the sale of cocaine in Groton led to the arrests.
They said they seized 21.4 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of cocaine and $1,411 in cash.
Police said they initiated contact with Outler, who was found to be in possession of cocaine, on Thursday after performing surveillance in a high crime area of Groton.
Outler was arrested.
Detectives said they later located Singleton, who had active warrants for his arrest. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine.
Outler was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. He was released and given a court date.
Singleton remains held on bond. He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell and three counts of violation of probation.
