OLD LYME, CT (WFSB) - State police are investigating after people were assaulted in Old Lyme Saturday night.
Police say Troop F Troopers responded to Rogers Lake Trail around 8:15 p.m. for a disturbance.
According to police, troopers from Troop F and Old Lyme Police Responded to the area and found a female with an abdominal wound, reportedly from a knife.
A man was also located, unconscious, with a head wound in this area. The head wound was reportedly caused by being struck by a shovel. Both victims were transported by ambulance to Hospitals.
Another man involved in the altercation had left the scene prior to police arrival. He was reported to be injured in the altercation and a search of the area was conducted utilizing a K9 and multiple Troopers/Officers.
The man was later located and determined to have two wounds, that he reported were knife wounds, and a facial injury from being struck.
Police said he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Both injured males were treated and released, while the female party is listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Evidence at the scene was seized and witnesses were identified. This altercation remains under investigation as additional information is being obtained.
Police said charges are expected to be filed in the near future.
