Report: Connecticut police stopping minorities at high rates

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Milford on Sunday night where a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries.

The "serious" crash happened near the intersection of Bridgeport and Woodland avenues around 10:45 p.m.

The unidentified pedestrian was struck while attempting to cross Bridgeport Avenue when police said he was hit by a car traveling in an eastbound direction.

Eyewitnesses told police that a "dark-colored sedan" fled in an eastbound direction. Police said the vehicle has "damage to its right front head light, bumper, right fender, and missing its passenger side right mirror."

The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where police did not release the person's condition.

The incident is under investigation by the Milford Police Department Traffic Division. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call the Milford Police Department Traffic Division at 203-878-5244.
