School bus, box truck involved in crash on I-84 in Farmington

A crash involving a box truck and a school bus was reported on the eastbound side of Interstate 84 east in Farmington on Tuesday. (CT DOT)

Traffic was slowed on Tuesday morning after a crash involving a box truck and a school bus on the eastbound side of Interstate 84 east in Farmington.

The crash was reported near exit 39A around 9 a.m.

There were children and adults from Shelton High School on board of the school bus, according to police. The police said there were no reported injuries.

Smith said the students and staff were headed to Hartford on Tuesday morning.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
