Classes were canceled and employees were sent home after a power outage on the University of Connecticut campus in Storrs on Monday morning.
According to the UConn spokesperson, the circuit affected by the outage serves dozens of buildings including academic, administrative and some dormitory on campus. Non-essential employees in buildings without power were asked to leave. Students can remain in residence halls without power, according to UConn.
