An attorney in Shelton is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy.

According to police, Peter Kruzynski, 49, took nude photos of the victim and coerced him into having sex over a period of years under the threat of posting those photos on the internet.

"We looked into," Shelton Police Detective Richard Bango said. "We discovered photos on his phone of the young boy and the investigation, lead that he actually used these photos to coerce the boy to continue to relationship."

The juvenile also told police that Kruzynski used his status as an attorney to pressure the victim to continue having sex. Police said Kruzynski allegedly threatened to post the photos online, if the boy didn't continue to have sex with him.

"During the first interview with Mr Kruzynski, he was warned to stay away from the victim and not go near him," Bango said. "He didn't head that warning and contacted him that night."

He was arrested on Tuesday.

Police charged Kruzynski with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and impairing the morals of a minor.

Kruzynski was arraigned in Derby Superior Court Wednesday. In court, the judge signed a protective order for Kruzynski to have no contact with the victim. He posted a $75,000 court-set bond.

Kruzynski is due back in court next month. The attorney for Kruzynski declined to comment to the media outside of court on Wednesday.
