A woman was arrested at a restaurant in Milford for trying to run over her ex-boyfriend and stealing his cell phone.

Police said 30-year-old Ileena Zamfino of Shelton faces second-degree breach of peace, second degree reckless endangerment and second-degree larceny charges.

Officers said they were called to a restaurant on Bridgeport Avenue Friday for a domestic violence complaint.

Zamfino took the cellphone out of the hand of her ex-boyfriend and locked herself in her vehicle, according to investigators.

Police said she then tried to hit the man with her car as she was driving out of the parking lot.

They asked Zamfino to return the phone, which she denied having.

Officers said they called the phone, which went off inside Zamfino's vehicle.

Her bond was set at $500.
