Police are investigating 5 suspicious overnight fires

West Hartford police continue to investigate after several shots were fired overnight along Farmington Avenue.

Police said they were called to the area of 869 Farmington Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Residents in the area told police as many as 8-10 gunshots were heard.

When police arrived they found several shell casings in the roadway. Additionally, two cars parked in the area were struck several times.

Police said no one was reported injured during the incident and Farmington Avenue is expected to remain closed for several hours as police continue to investigate.
