Shortly after its issuance, police cancelled a silver alert for a 94-year-old man last seen by a teller at Off Track Betting in Hartford.

The family of Alexander Aleo alerted police when he had not returned home from the restaurant where he is a frequent customer. The family said Aleo rarely stays out past dark and always calls.

The family told police that he is described at 5’6” and 170lbs, with grey hair and brown eyes.

Family says he does not have any major health issues. He drives a grey 2005 Hyundai Sonata 4-door sedan with a license plate that reads 685-TML.

Police said Aleo had not checked into any hospitals.

Police are encouraging residents with any information on Aleo’s whereabouts to contact the East Hartford Police at 860-209-8631 or 860-291-7519.
