Police in South Windsor said they're hoping the public can help track down a convenience store robbery suspect.

They said the man hit the 7-Eleven on Ellington Road Saturday around 8 p.m.

The man reportedly entered the store, "acted suspiciously" and left without buying anything.

He then re-entered the store a few minutes later and made a purchase.

However, that's when he told the clerk he had a gun and asked for money, according to officers. No weapon was actually shown.

The suspect then left and walked over to the north side of the building. He got into a red Subaru-style vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Windsor Police Department at 860-644-2551.
