Police in Middletown were working to get a car out of a reservoir on Wednesday afternoon after an 18-year-old lost control and his car ended up in the water.

The reservoir is located off Reservoir Road.

Police said the teen only suffered bumps and bruises. He reportedly lost control of the car, hit a fence and ended up driving into the water.

He was able to get out of the car on his own.

The state groundskeeper called 911.

Middletown and state police responded, along with crews from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, because it is state property.
