Wethersfield police search for bank robbery suspect

Police are searching for the man responsible for a bank robbery in Wethersfield on Saturday morning.

The robbery was reported at TD Bank, 25 Wells Rd. around 11 a.m.

Police said the suspect showed a note in which he demanded money to the teller. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and he fled on foot, police said. The suspect, who was described as clean-shaven with a medium build, did not imply or show a weapon, according to police.

No one reported being injured during the incident.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who was believed to be in his 20 or 30s and 5'5". He was wearing gray ball cap and a red and black or blue jacket in the photo.
