A man from Willimantic was arrested three times on Monday for what began as a family dispute.

Police said Jerremy Jimenez, 20, was arrested for the dispute around 10:40 a.m.

He was released on a $1,500 bond.

His second arrest came around 6:15 p.m. when he returned to the home of the original dispute and created another disturbance, according to police.

This time, he was transported back to Willimantic police headquarters.

As he was being processed several hours later, police said he attacked an officer within a cell block area.

That prompted the third arrest.

"The police officer, who is not being identified, was not seriously injured and was back on patrol after receiving medical attention at police headquarters," said Lt. Stanley Parizo Jr., Willimantic police.

Jimenez was charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, violation of conditions of release and assault on an officer.

His total bond was $20,000.

Jimenez was given a court date of Tuesday in Danielson.
