Wolcott officials help free hawk stuck in net

On Thursday, Wolcott Animal Control and police officials rescued a hawk.

They said the hawk had its claws caught in a volleyball net, and needed help getting free.

The whole incident was caught on camera.

Several animal control officers helped capture the hawk by throwing a blanket on top of it, and then cut the net around his feet to untangle him.

The hawk flew to safety after being freed.
