A woman faces a charge for stabbing a person outside of a bar in Hartford back in June.

According to police, Joycelee Ortiz-Maisonet was taken into custody on Thursday.

Police said the incident happened on June 24 at the El Bohio Cafe on Park Street.

They found the victim just after 2 a.m.

The victim suffered stab wounds to the thighs and buttocks which required extensive surgery.

Police said the victim had been involved in an argument with the suspect inside of the bar. It escalated outside and that's what led to the stabbing.

The suspect fled on foot.

Investigators later determined that Ortiz-Maisonet was the suspect.

They were able to obtain video footage of the incident.

Probable cause was developed as well as a warrant charging Ortiz-Maisonet with second-degree assault.

Ortiz-Maisonet was arrested on Russ Street on Thursday.

She was being held on a judge-set bond of $100,000.
