(Meredith/CNN) -- A woman in Houston, Texas, said she gave birth to a seven-pound baby but had no clue she was even pregnant.

According to KTRK, Brittany Darilek thought she was sick with a stomach ache and digestive pains back in August 2019. Her mother said it might be a good idea to get in the bathtub in order to relieve the pain. But moments later, Darilek was holding her newborn daughter in her arms.

"I gave one big push and had instant relief," she said. "It immediately flushed over me. I pick her up and it is Madi, born in a bathtub. She's just there looking at me, (with) bright blue eyes."

Darilek said she's been asked over and over again how she didn't know she was pregnant.

"I got my menstrual cycle every month," she told KTRK. "I gained about 15 pounds." Looking back, she said she can now see the signs up pregnancy but just dismissed them.
