Overturned tractor trailer closes lanes on I-84 in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – An overturned tractor-trailer caused significant delays on Interstate 84 eastbound in West Hartford early Monday morning.

The incident was reported at approximately 2:45 a.m. between exits 41 and 43.

By 7 a.m., the delays grew to about 3.8 miles, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to assess the situation and began clearing the wreckage.

The right and center lanes of I-84 eastbound remain closed.

There was no word on injuries or a cause for the crash.
