UConn women’s hockey loses home opener to Boston College

STORRS, CT (WFSB) – UConn women’s hockey fell to Boston College on Saturday, 1-2.

The Huskies took an early 1-0 lead, and with some great goaltending led 1-0 after the first period.

But a couple of UConn mistakes in the second period gave Boston College the lead.

A shorthanded goal tied it 1-1, and then late in the second, the Eagles scored again and it was 2-1 after the second.

In the third period, the Huskies had a couple of chances early, but could not capitalize.

UConn’s next game is October 20 at home against New Hampshire.
