UConn men’s hockey coach Cavanaugh talks about getting offense back on track

STORRS, CT (WFSB) - UConn men’s hockey coach Mike Cavanaugh talked about how the team plans to get back on track offensively.

“I don’t think our lines were the problem you know when I told our team that we were generating a lot of offense in every line was generating a chances and I said to the team it’s like you know if you have 10 birdie putts and 8 of them lip out, it’s not the putter you know you had a good putt. It’s just not a drop in for you, so I felt like our lines weren’t the issue and Saturday we were generating a lot of offense so I didn’t feel you need to to switch those up. I just point out you just keep doing what you’re doing and trust it somethings going to happen and let’s keep trying to take his eyes away and get second and third opportunities and be hungry around the net keep staying positive. I just know if you are in on watching the game on Saturday, our lines weren’t the problem.”

The UConn men are back on the road Friday and Saturday at Union.
