CT Ice Tourney set for XL Center In January

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - The 4th annual CT Ice Tournament will be held for the first time at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. 

The four Connecticut Division One Hockey Playing institutions, the University of Connecticut, Quinnipiac University, Sacred Heart University, and Yale University, have announced the game times for this year’s tournament.

The tournament is hosted by UConn and will begin on Friday Jan. 26 with two semi-final games. The consolation game and the championship game will be played on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The opening night will feature UConn playing Sacred Heart at 4 p.m. on Jan. 26.  The game between Quinnipiac and Yale will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The consolation game will be played on Jan 27 at 3:30 p.m. with the championship game to follow at approximately 7 p.m.

The reigning National Champion Quinnipiac Bobcats have won the last two CT Ice Tournaments.

All four games of the CT Ice will be broadcast live on SNY.
