UConn men’s hockey facing a tough stretch

STORRS, CT (WFSB) - The UConn men’s hockey team is back on Hockey East Friday night where they have nine conference games to finish the season. Head coach Mike Cavanaugh says this next month will tell us a lot about our hockey team.

“Certainly challenging schedule with Providence this week at number 10 UMass 10 I know in the pairwise rankings and BUI think it’s three.  Northeastern climbed up there in the rankings. Big win over BU last night and we got a 9 game stretch.

This is beginning of it certainly will have all we can handle with the Friers Friday night at very well coached a good goaltender is  back experience defenseman always had a good power play and they’re very deep upfront and they come out in waves so it’s gonna be a great challenge for us on Friday night”.

UConn plays 10th ranked Providence Friday night at Toscano and then Saturday night at Providence.
