UCONN Women’s Hockey gets first ever NCAA Tournament Matchup! Huskies to play against Minnesota Duluth

STORRS, Conn. (WFSB) - The UConn Women’s Hockey team earned the Big East Championship on Saturday and today, the Huskies found out their opening game in the NCAA Tournament will be against Minnesota Duluth.

This is UConn’s first NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Bulldogs of Duluth have been to the Women’s Frozen Four in 2021 and 2022.

The First Round game will be against Minnesota Duluth on Thursday, March 14th in Columbus, OH.

The winner of this game will advance to take on the tournament’s top seed, Ohio State.
