Peruzzi named to UConn men’s hockey coaching staff

STORRS, Conn. (WFSB) - The UConn men’s hockey team has welcomed a new assistant coach.

“We are thrilled to be adding Nick to our program,” Huskies Head Coach Mike Cavanaugh said in a release.

Before joining UConn, Peruzzi spent three years at Northern Michigan as an assistant coach for the men’s hockey program.

He has extensive experience working with forwards, powerplay units, and recruiting.

Coach Cavanaugh says he’s looking forward to his contributions.

“Nick is a tremendous coach who will bring his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game to the rink every day to help our team continue to get better.”

Besides his coaching roles, Peruzzi has also worked as a skills and development coach for TPH & Pro Impact since 2016, training various levels of hockey players.

The UConn men’s hockey team’s first game this season is on October 5th against Colgate.
