Helicopter video shows moment two suspects were arrested while fleeing into Connecticut

ENFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - Enfield police have released video from a Massachusetts state police helicopter which shows when they stopped a fleeing suspect approaching the Connecticut state line.

Police say the vehicle fled Massachusetts state police on March 19.

A MSP helicopter was sent out to keep track of the vehicles location.

Enfield police were able to slow southbound traffic, leading to the suspect vehicle decreasing its speed.

“In a last ditch effort, the fleeing vehicle attempted to utilize the break down lane to pass the slowing traffic only to encounter awaiting Enfield officers,” Enfield police said.

Officers successfully used a tire deflation device. The vehicle lost a tire just south of Exit 46 and became disabled.

Both the driver and passenger surrendered to police.
