UConn men to face Quinnipiac in the College Hockey NCAA Tournament

ALLENTOWN, PA (WFSB) - The University of Connecticut men’s hockey team earned its first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

It faces in-state rival Quinnipiac University on Friday, March 28, in Allentown, PA.

The puck drops at 5 p.m.

Fans can see it on ESPNU or listen to it on FOX Sports 97.9 FM.

The Huskies learned their first round opponent on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies and the Bobcats met on the ice earlier this season in the first round of the Connecticut Ice Tournament.

UConn won that game 2-1 on a goal by Ryan Tattle, who scored with less than a second left on the clock.

Friday’s game comes on the heels of a 5-2 loss to Maine in the Hockey East Tournament last Friday.
