UConn football aims for historic 10-win season in Fenway Bowl

STORRS, Conn. (WFSB) - The UConn football team has one more game to play as it prepares for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl against Army.

Over the past couple of weeks, there has been discussion about which players will and will not be playing in the bowl game. The Huskies will be without their starting quarterback Joe Fagnano.

However, the players who are participating, including UConn’s first consensus All-American wide receiver Skyler Bell, are focused on securing the first 10-win season in program history.

“I’ve been with these guys the last two years. The brotherhood thing is super real. Just going out there and finishing things with your brothers. I put in so much work with these guys the last two years. I think I would be remiss to leave here and look back at the last game and say, ‘Why didn’t I suit up with my guys one last time?’” Bell said.

The Wasabi Fenway Bowl represents an opportunity for UConn to reach a milestone that would mark a historic achievement for the football program.
