First Alert Weather: Scattered rain/snow showers as temperature drops today
A cold front moved through earlier this morning, and temperatures will continue to drop throughout the afternoon. By the evening commute, temps will be going from the 40s into the 30s. Factoring in the wind, it will feel like the 20s! Lingering rain showers could mix with or flip over to snow, before ending late. When it comes to accumulation, we’re thinking non-paved surfaces could receive a coating to 1″. Other than wet roads we’re not anticipating impacts from the snow. Tomorrow, we end the week dry and chilly. While some rain/snow showers are possible tomorrow night, Saturday is dry with increasing sunshine. Then, Sunday features increasing cloudiness in advance of another storm system that will lead to a mild, wet, and windy start to the work week. Thereafter, temps drop again for St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday.
