Manchester police and state police on scene
MANCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) - Police taped off a section of Tolland Turnpike near Parker Street in Manchester on Monday morning for an officer-involved shooting investigation.
Investigators could be seen working an active scene, which cleared later in the morning.

According to Manchester police, they were sent to a home around 11 p.m. for an active domestic disturbance that involved an 18-year-old man.
A caller told police that the suspect was armed with a knife.
When police arrived, they said they encountered him in the roadway.
“During the encounter, the officer discharged their department-issued firearm, striking the suspect,” said Lt. Nick Reinert, Manchester police. “Officers immediately rendered medical aid to the suspect until emergency medical personnel arrived.”
The man was transported to a trauma center for treatment, police said.
The inspector general’s office has been notified.
Manchester police cruisers and a Connecticut State Police command center van were on scene near the Big Y on Tolland Turnpike.
The road was shut down in the area, and drivers were turned around during the investigation.
The closure affected a portion of the morning commute.
