Boy’s basketball coach for Prince Tech killed in Hartford hit-and-run
HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Hartford Police say a person has died after a hit-and-run crash on Main Street.
Police say they responded to reports of a person struck near 3324 Main Street around 6:27 Friday night.
Police found an unresponsive male and performed life saving measures.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as 56-year-old Kendall E. May from Bloomfield..
May was the head coach for the boy’s basketball team at Prince Tech, the CIAC said.
“The CIAC shares its condolences with the family friends, and high school basketball community following the passing of Prince Tech Head Boys Basketball Coach Kendall May,” said the CIAC.
Hartford Police are still looking for the person responsible for this accident. Officials say the driver was driving a grey Jeep Cherokee with a Vermont license plate KGE457.
The driver drove north on Main Street.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
