Lack of water hampers firefighting efforts at home in Norwich

NORWICH, CT (WFSB) - Crews had a difficult time putting out a house fire in Norwich on Tuesday night.
According to police, public safety dispatchers received a 911 call at 11:50 p.m.
When the firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from an unoccupied home at 3 Watercress Ave.
They said their efforts were hampered by a lack of water in the area. Multiple fire departments had to respond to help.
The fire was brought under control within an hour; however, the home was extensively damaged.
Neighboring homes were also damaged.
The crews put out the fire and there were no reported injuries.
There’s no word on what sparked the fire.
