UConn Huskies celebrate strong start to college football season at 4-2
EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – The UConn Huskies have reached the midway point of the college football season with a commendable record of 4-2 after their first six games.
Following a victory over Temple on Saturday, the team has shown improvement in various aspects of its play.
A highlight of the game was the Huskies’ defense, which not only made key stops but also forced a crucial fumble.
Jordan Wright recovered the ball and showcased his speed by returning it approximately 96 yards for a touchdown.
Coach Jim Mora expressed optimism about the team’s progress, stating, “going into a bye at four and two, with some momentum and being able to look at it and be tough on your guys, rather than being three and three is huge for us. We’ll get a chance to get some guys back before we play again in a couple of weeks against Wake.”
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at home against Wake Forest, with kickoff set for noon.
