Man suffers multiple gunshot wounds after argument in Waterbury

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Waterbury police are investigating a shooting.

The shooting occurred at around 11:18 this morning in the area of 1900 North Main Street, according to police.

Police say the shooting was the result of an argument between two people, with one man suffering several gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Police say the area is safe and there is no active threat.

“This is an active investigation being handled by our patrol officers and members of our detective bureau,” Sergeant Joseph Morais said.
