Golf cart fire spreads to Old Saybrook home, no injuries reported

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WFSB) - A golf cart fire spread to a home off Maple Avenue on Thursday afternoon, causing exterior damage and some smoke damage inside, according to the Old Saybrook Fire Department.

Firefighters, police and EMS responded to the home at 1:04 p.m.

Fire officials say crews acted quickly to contain the fire and limit damage.

No civilians or firefighters were injured. The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
