Fans reflect as Connecticut Sun play final game before relocation

(WFSB) - It was a bittersweet moment at Mohegan Sun Arena Thursday evening.

On one side of the coin, the night was filled with reflection on the great memories that the Connecticut Sun created, including their three WNBA Finals appearances.

On the other side, it was a somber reminder that the team would not be in the state by the time the WNBA tipped off next season. It also represented yet another professional sports team leaving Connecticut.

Over their long history, the Sun were very successful and gave their fans a lot to cheer about. But, they never could reach the pinacle of the league with a championship.

The Sun lost their final game to the Toronto Tempo __-__. They now become the Houston Comets.
