UConn football players discuss challenges that await against Boston College

STORRS, CT (WFSB) - The UConn Huskies hit the road for the first of three straight away from home. The Huskies will play at Boston College on Saturday afternoon.

UConn starting center Yakiri Walker and defensive back Chris Shearin spoke about the excitement and challenges that await against BC.

“Nobody likes to be oh and seven or whatever we are. We don’t think about. I think I’ve been playing up, getting to play a lot of games with my offensive line, my teammates motivate me everyday and keeps me going. We just work hard every day,” said Walker.

“Honestly I just love football and any opportunity I have to play I get excited. They are going to be excited to play so we’ve gotta bring our A game,” Shearin said.

“How do you get rid of the disappointment from a difficult loss. How quickly does it go away and how do you make it go away??” asked Eyewitness News.

“I don’t think it does. If you’re a true competitor I don’t think it goes away. I think we need to use this week of practice to figure out as collectively one thing we can get better at and that’'ll get us over the hump. Because we are so close, we are so close, we are so close,” said Shearin.
