Two killed after plane crashes in rural area

HESPERIA, Calif. (KCAL/KCBS) - Two people died after a small airplane crashed in a rural area of Hesperia, California, on Thursday morning.

A call came in to the San Bernardino County Fire Department around 9:58 a.m. about a single aircraft down. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, two people were dead at the site, in a rural area about two miles from Hesperia Airport.

Both bodies were found inside the aircraft.

Officials have not yet released a possible cause of the crash as of publication.
