Motorcyclist killed in Hebron crash

HEBRON, Conn. (WFSB) - A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening after attempting to pass a vehicle that was turning left into a driveway on Gilead Street.

Dylan Owen Keefe, 21, of Amston, was traveling southbound on Gilead Street on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle at 7:49 p.m. when he attempted to pass a 2011 Subaru Legacy on the left side, according to state police.

The Subaru driver was making a left turn into a private driveway.

The motorcycle struck the left front quarter panel of the Subaru.

The Harley Davidson then went airborne across the driveway and off the left side of the roadway down an embankment, where Keefe was thrown from the motorcycle.

Keefe suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Both vehicles were towed to Evan’s Automotive.
