15 arrested, following multi-agency prostitution sting operation in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - 15 people have been arrested after an investigation at several motels in Stratford.

According to the Stratford Police Department, officers were at several local motels in February and March for prostitution sting operations.

Police said an armed robbery of a man that was trying to patronize prostitution at a motel in the area back in 2024 prompted the investigation.

As detectives investigated the incident, it lead to the arrests of two men and a woman.

Following the investigation, it was revealed that there were similar incidents going on at motels in Stratford.

Officials said the following 15 people were arrested and have been charged with patronizing prostitution:

• Daniel Matias of Norwalk
• David Alterio of Shelton
• Leuris Pena-Perez of Waterbury
• Jamel Michael of Bridgeport
• Rochelle Smith of Stratford
• George Lawrence of Bridgeport
• Charles Sosa of Shelton
• David Diaz of Guilford
• Julio Dacruz of Stratford
• Gary Robert Martino of Shelton
• Suvav Woodward of Massachusetts
• Hector Doval of Bridgeport

Officials said the motels that were involved cannot be disclosed due to an ongoing investigation.
